XmlRpcWikiInterface

A group of proposals for an XML-RPC interface to wiki servers.

Status

A group of related proposals. WikiRPCInterface version 2 seems to be the frontrunner, and also the currently most widely implemented wiki API. However, Janne Jalkanen, the lead developer of JSPwiki, where the WikiRPCInterface version 2 is hosted, announced as of 2005 that he thought WebDAV was the way to go.

• XML-RPC: XmlRpcWikiInterface is built on top of XML-RPC.
• WebDAV? + DeltaV? is a more general protocol; it is for publishing/managing versioned collections of documents on the web. DeltaV? is the versioning part.
• Atom is a more general protocol; it is for publishing/managing collections of documents on the web.
